The Dalby Dash 10K is a special Remembrance Sunday trail run held in honour of our service men and women. Set in the stunning surroundings of Dalby Forest, the route combines smooth tarmac and well-maintained hard trails, offering a beautiful and accessible course for runners of all abilities.

The event is delivered in association with Pickering Running Club and is proudly supported by Pickering Rotarians, Veterans’ charity Rock2Recovery, and Scarborough & Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team (SRMRT).

A Proven, Friendly Event

The 2025 Dalby Dash was a fantastic success, raising an incredible £6,000 for our supported charities. The atmosphere was positive and welcoming throughout the day, made possible by an outstanding team of volunteers, marshals and organisers—coordinated by Sharon Lynn—alongside the efforts of Pickering Rotary and SRMRT, who ensured everyone stayed safe.

This is a friendly, volunteer-run trail race, with a great memento for every finisher. It’s no surprise that Trail Running Magazine listed the Dalby Dash as one of the most beautiful races in Britain.

The Route

The race starts outside the Dalby Forest Visitor Centre at Low Dalby. Runners head out along a firm tarmac climb up Housedale—the only significant hill on the course, taken at a steady gradient. A special prize is awarded to the first male and female runners to reach the top.

From there, the route continues along the ridge on fast gravel trails, before a long, flowing descent down to the beck and a final “Dash” back to the finish line.

The Dalby Dash 2026 offers excellent value and includes electronic chip timing.

All entry income goes directly towards organising the event and raising funds for our charities:

Your entry also covers the forest car entry fee, and runners are encouraged to bring family and friends at no extra cost to enjoy a day out in Dalby Forest. Every finisher will receive a commemorative memento.

Transfers & Refunds

Please note that entries are non-refundable and non-deferrable. However, you may transfer your place to another runner via BookitZone. All transfer requests must be completed by 11:00am on Friday 30 October 2026.
