The 10 Circles of Suffering

Now in its 6th year, Dalby’s Inferno continues to grow in reputation as one of the most memorable — and addictive — endurance events in the calendar.

This is a backyard-style ultra marathon set deep within Dalby Forest, built around a deceptively simple concept:
ten laps, ten hours, one relentless loop.

For 2026, the route has been modified to increase the distance, making the challenge even tougher for those brave enough to take it on.

The Challenge

• 5.5km forest loop
• Start on the hour, every hour
• Up to 10 laps
• Total distance: 55km

A lap must be completed within the hour to be eligible to start the next one. Miss the cut-off and you’ll sit out — but you can still re-join later laps, right up to lap nine. Complete all nine and you earn your place on the tenth and final lap — the ultimate burn.

For Runners of All Abilities

Dalby’s Inferno is designed to be both inclusive and brutal. Whether your goal is two laps or all ten, this event lets you push further than you thought possible.

In 2025, over 80% of runners completed all ten laps.
And if you’ve ever wanted to claim the kudos of an ultra marathon, this is your chance — 55km comfortably qualifies.

What’s Included

Your entry fee includes:

• Entry to Dalby’s Inferno
• Free entry to Dalby Forest (normally £10 per vehicle)
• Two nights of free camping (Friday & Saturday) at Adderstone
• Camping in the same field as the start/finish area
• Hard standing available for campervans
• Toilets and fresh water on site (no showers)

One tent or campervan per entry. Family and friends are welcome to camp and support you throughout the event.

Event Atmosphere

This is as much a social endurance weekend as it is a race. There’s space at the start/finish area to relax and refuel between laps, erect a small shelter, and soak up the atmosphere — with the support of fellow runners, volunteers and a legendary soundtrack.

Hot food and drinks will be available to purchase on the day.

• Loop: Fully signed and marshalled (route not published in advance)
• Start time: 9:00am sharp

Registration:

• Friday: 6:00pm – 9:00pm
• Saturday: 7:00am – 8:30am

Additional Information

• Minimum age: 16 years
• No dogs allowed on the run (well-behaved dogs welcome in the campsite)
• No BBQs permitted
• No refunds or deferrals
